CivicBases.org is an informational resource. We provide plain-language summaries of publicly available civic information. This site is not a government agency and does not provide legal advice.

Text message program (SMS)

Program name: CivicBases SMS Alerts

Description: An optional notification service that sends civic reminders including voter registration deadlines, election date alerts, and registration status updates. Messages are nonpartisan and informational only.

How to opt in: You may enroll by entering your mobile number and checking the consent box on a CivicBases site. Enrollment constitutes consent to receive recurring automated text messages from CivicBases.

Message frequency: Varies based on upcoming election dates. Typically a few messages per month during election season.

Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan. CivicBases does not charge for SMS messages.

How to opt out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. You may also contact privacy@civicbases.org to request removal.

Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact privacy@civicbases.org.

Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of using any CivicBases service. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
